해당 보고서는 국제 북극 커뮤니티에서 수집하여 국제 북극 연구 활동 및 우선순위 등을 종합적으로 통합하는것을 목표로 함.

북극과학이 점점 더 빠르게 변화하고 있기 때문에 

이 보고서는 북극과학기구와, 북극 과학 담당자, 그리고 북극 과학 수행자 등 

다양한 의사결정자와 정책입안자들에게 도움이 될 수 있도록 만들어짐.

5. The GLACE (Greenland Circumnavigation Expedition) 

6. New ice coring activities in Arctic and western Canada as well as Greenland 

7. Joint research cruises in the Russian Arctic 

8. EU H2020 KEPLER (the European Union's Earth Observation Programme) 

9. Nunataryuk (a major project studying coastal catchments in permafrost areas, coastal erosion and impacts on carbon cycling and science for socioeconomic adaptation)

10. SAS(the Synoptic Arctic Sruvey) and DBO (Distributed Biological Obesrvatory)
